A Place Like No (ASCII VR)
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
A small VR Adventure inspired by the style of 80s ASCII Adventures. Explore a mysterious world made of letters and signs, where words turn into their meaning!
The current content has a playtime of around 15-30 minutes and was part of my bachelor's thesis in Game Design at DE:HIVE / HTW Berlin.

*Important Note: Make sure the headset's microphone is the default input device in Windows audio settings! Tested on a Vive Pro with Index Controllers. Leave a comment if there are problems on your device and I will try to fix them as soon as possible!

Important Notes: The headset microphone needs to be enabled! If you're on SteamVR, make sure your headset microphone is the default input device in Windows audio settings.
Oculus Quest 1 & 2 mobile:
Download the android version. Unpack and install on your headset as follows: The easiest way to get it playing on your Quest is to install it via Sidequest, a free software that allows you to install apps & games on your Quest that are not in the Oculus Store. You will find the game in your library, under "Unknown Sources".
Windows:
Simply download the version that matches your headset, unpack and double-click APlaceLikeNo.exe.

This is amazing and super creative.
I really hope it gets expanded in the future and added to Steam or something like that.
I played this with my Oculus Quest 2 and it was absolutely incredible, great job!!!
